Imbolc is celebrated in Ireland and other countries. It is special magic day. This day accordingly to Celtic mythologies Mother of Bread had a rest on the Earth of Spirits, assemble forces. In Samhain she has given all vital force to the God to help him to revive. Imbolc - a holiday of recover of the Goddess, clarification and revival of the ground.

Small set of my new photos of city Pripyat.
Pripyat. Fog
January, 24th, 2009. Pripyat. Outdoors is about zero. Thaw. From above it is continuous pour a drizzle and underfoot - snowdrifts of thawing snow. Humidity such that before each shot it is necessary to wipe a camera objective for a long time.
I thought a long while that I will write about this trip... And, I have decided not to write anything. It just simply photos of the empty thrown city. Today it - foggy, snow-covered, rainy, sleepy and melancholic.

My new report from a city Pripyat (Chornobyl Area of alienation)
Pripyat. Winter Fairy Tales
About two years ago to Sasha Sirota, the permanent helmsman of public organization and the site with the same name pripyat.com, were come to mind a remarkable idea: to photograph in Pripyat the thrown apartments, at the desire of their former owners. Pripayters have approved the idea and... In some weeks they have filled up a forum of above-mentioned site with the demands. And as demands every day became more and more, and possibilities to realize them within the limits of planned trips ever less, it has been decided to arrange "the massed appartments photo-landing" to Pripyat, and also, whenever possible, to eliminate blanks in an address book and in an interactive map of the city.
